Hanging Baby's Stocking Poem

Hanging Baby's Stocking
Christmas Poem

I must hang the baby’s stocking
I really must not forget
For this is her very first Christmas,
And Santa hasn’t seen her yet.

I can’t wait until he sees her,
And her beautiful big blue eyes,
They are so full of wonder,
As she sees each new surprise.

I pray she will always enjoy:
Santa and flying reindeer,
Christmas cards, Christmas trees,
And the family gathering near.

But most of all, it is my hope
That she’ll ask Jesus into her heart.
For then she’ll know the real joy of Christmas,
The joy only He can impart.

So as I hang her very first stocking,
I am going to pray:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I pray our precious baby
Will know the true meaning of Christmas Day.”
